Freedom and bondage begin and end in the heart. The truth is the freedom that Christ has provided us if first and foremost spiritual. The condition we find ourselves in before we come to know and serve the Lord also springs from the spiritual. The problem we face when coming into relationship with God is the fact that we cannot yet distinguish the differences between our spiritual and physical selves which also includes our mental and emotional selves. The word tells us to desire the word of God that we may grow thereby. And to receive the ingrafted word which is able to save our souls. I believe that word save there may conme from the greek sozo which speaks of healing. Our mental and emotional realm need an overhaul if we are ever to experience the liberation of the children if God in our spirits. We have some work to do in submitting ourselves to God so His spirit can begin to control and dominate our metal and emotional. This will transform us into a powerful demonstration of the power of God in human affairs :-)
