You can become knowledgeable with other man's knowledge, but you can't become wise with other man's wisdom. That's because wisdom isn't a body of information. It's the moral quality of knowing what you don't know and figuring out a way to handle your own life lessons of ignorance, uncertainty and limitations.
In other words you must go through it to get to the lesson.
